My curation
Geometric shapes captivate me with their mathematical intricacies and inherent structural harmony. The precision in their angles, ratios, and symmetrical arrangements speaks to a universal order that transcends cultural and temporal boundaries. Whether it's the perfect symmetry of a hexagon or the simple beauty of a circle, these shapes reflect fundamental principles found in nature and math. The interplay of lines and angles creates a visual language that conveys a sense of order and beauty, making me appreciate the elegance and coherence in the world of geometry. Essentially, I find poetry in geometry.
In this curated collection, I aimed to showcase the evolution of abstract art through the lens of geometrical shapes. It begins with iconic figures like Miro, Kandinsky, Nagy and Malevich, whose groundbreaking works laid the foundation for the exploration of form and colour. The selection then transitions to modern-day artists, highlighting a contemporary interpretation of geometric abstraction that reflects diverse perspectives and innovative approaches.
The whole point of this collection is to make you appreciate how geometrical shapes are still relevant in abstract art, connecting the past and present in a visually captivating way.
